Failure vs. experimentation

There’s a blurry line between experimentation and failure.

In experimentation, data is gathered to inform the next steps if a desired outcome is not met.

On the other hand, failure occurs when one doesn’t change course from the data that’s gathered.

As an outsider, it’s hard to tell whether someone is failing or experimenting. To find out, question what a person has learned and how it’s informing their future decisions.
